Q: Is hairloss a comman symptom in menopause?

Yes it is, Marlene.  Many women report hair thinning/loss in perimenopause and beyond.  For many, progesterone seems to slow or even stop this process.  If the problem is extensive, you may want to consult a dermatologist to make sure there is not a physical problem causing the loss.
