Hi Gabby,

What an irritating situation!  Our sleep is poor enough as it is going through menopause.  Your bladder is one of the 3 organs that has the most estrogen receptors and will go through significant changes for a lot of women.  Your particular problem of waking to pee but then not going is not what I typically hear, but most likely it is a hormonal issue.  Some women find that they get good results for bladder issues by using vaginal estrogen.  This is directly absorbed and can be used in addition to the Premarin.  You will need to see your provider for a prescription.  If the problem persists or gets worse, he/she might recommend you have an evaluation (urodynamic) to pinpoint the cause.

Good luck,

Sandy
