Hi Sophie,
It's very unlikely that you would get pregnant at 49 with no periods for 12 months, but I would encourage you to have a blood test, the FSH, to be sure. If you were older or it had been 1 1/2 yrs with no period, I'd be more definite, and it is highly unlikely, but that's one question you want a "for sure" answer to! :)
