my doctor checked my blood a couple years ago and said i was going thru menopause. after 3 years of no period i started yesterday. i am 52 years old. is this normal? on the day before i started, i felt alot of pressure in my butt..it felt like it was going to fall off...it was painful.. thanks for your help..

If you just started bleeding or spotting, I would say it's normal. But with the pressure and pain, you need to see a Dr. Take care, Diane

You should see your Dr. right away. It could be the sign of something minor or serious going on...don't delay.
