Hi Abigail, I'm wondering what HRT your doctor put you on.  Most commonly it is the synthetic progestin (Provera, medroxyprogesterone) that causes depression.  So, if that's what you were on, I wouldn't go back on it.  Every other day dosing is not a great idea...it just adds to the fluctuations of your hormones and can cause or increase side effects.  And finally, it's probably coincidental that your period stopped when it did and until it's gone for at least 12 months, there's really no good way to predict that it will be the last one.  I'd recommend you ask your doctor for bioidentical progesterone (and estrogen if you're having symptoms of low estrogen).  The brand name is Prometrium.  Estrogen, best and safest when used as a transdermal, is the estradiol patch or cream. Good luck to you, Sandy
