Q: Menopause with no hot flashes?

I am 46 and have always had regular periods. My period stopped 3 months ago.  I have no other signs or symptoms of menopause.  Two pregnancy tests were negative.  Could this be menopause?  I feel fine and am on no medication.

Hi Ellie,  It could definitely signal menopause.  However, you may still resume having periods after a break...there's really not a reliable way to predict.  Not everyone has hot flashes.  The literature says that 20-25% of women experience none.  I hope you continue to be one of the lucky ones!
