ok i'm 38 and i have miss periods 2 mths ago and started agin but i been on it for 2 weeks no stop
Hello "mom", It sounds like you may be starting to have one of the changes that comes with perimenopause...period changes. Our hormones start to change around age 35 or after, so many women will start to have symptoms before they're even out of their thirties. Periods get closer or farther apart, bleeding may get heavier or lighter and cramping may be more of an issue. The spectrum of possibilities gives a wide range of normal. Often, if you miss a period or more than one, it is not unusual that the next period will be heavy and may last longer than normal. This is because you have built up a thicker lining in your uterus and it takes awhile for it all to shed. However, if you have been bleeding for 2 weeks and the flow is heavy and not showing signs of slowing down, you definitely need to contact your primary provider. It's possible you could need medication to stop the flow. Usually, it will gradually slow on its own and fade away. I hope this information helps. Good luck to you on this perimenopausal journey, Sandy
