Hi, Kim,

I'm not a medical doctor so I don't feel comfortable attempting to answer this for you. I'd suggest that you talk to your own doctor about this and get a second medical opinion.

Take care!

Kim,

I am not a medical professional but I have similar situation for a long time.

Everyone is different. If you don't have concern for cancer, you can ask your doctor for estrogen hormone therapy. It is up to the doctor. If ths means you don't have ovaries, you need more hormone for sure.

However, if you worry about cancer, then a plant hormone is better for you to reduce hot flashes and etc.

It is up to the doctor to advice you per your health history.

I have not tried Eva mist but I use many lubricants to make sure I am not dry also. Replent is good too. I suggest that you ask your doctor about any product that you use such as Eva mist.

Take care,

NC

I hope your surgery went well, Kim. Evamist is the form of estrogen called estradiol. It is a bioidentical form so is the most effective and safest choice. In my opinion, adding progesterone would be a wise choice in order to balance your hormones like they were previously. The symptoms most effected by progesterone are sleep and mood issues, both common problems for menopausal women. Good luck to you, Sandy Greenquist, CNM Menopause Clinician Reply
