Hello,   I had cysts on my ovaries and I've had them removed but they just came back.  The cysts are a result of your estrogen levels being too high in comparison to your progesterone levels.  I shrank the cysts using progesterone cream for a short stint.  Prolonged use can cause weight gain and can create an imbalance.  You can purchase progesterone cream over the counter but I would suggest that if you do that you only use a small amount at bedtime...actually half of the dose suggested.   When your progesterone levels are balanced in relation to your estrogen levels, your periods will balance out as well!   Good luck!
