Yes for several reasons.  Did you start taking any new medications or vitamin suppliments?  You could be reacting if you are taking something that can affect your liver.  I am finished with menopause but whenever I take glucosamine/ condroitin that has MSM, I get hot flashes!  I don't know if it is the MSM or not because I quit taking all of it.  I also tried Estroven once and the hot flashes got worse.  The only relief I got was from taking generic black cohosh extract.  No side effects and almost completely took hot flashes away. 

Women continue to have some estrogen because it is produced in the adrenal glands.  You may want to have your hormones checked to see if your estrogen level is either high on its own, or high in relationship to your progesterone levels. Either one can cause problems because high estrogen levels are related to breast, ovarian and cervical cancers, pms, and other assorted female ailments.  Your best bet is to make an appointment with your doctor for some testing.  Take care, Diane
