Q: i dont want another baby help!

i am 53 and pretty sure i am in full blown menopause.  I cant afford the dr, as we have no insurance.  I have not had a period since last october, 6 months ago.  How much longer do i have to use birth control protection?

You need to continue to use contraception until you have been without any bleeding for at least one full year.  Then you should be safe.  Since you don't have health insurance, have you thought about checking to see if there is a community clinic in your area.  They are usually very inexpensive and many charge on a sliding scale.  You still need to be getting a Pap smear and mammogram once a year, plus having an exam.  Often there are programs available that offer these services very cheaply to those without insurance or other means to pay much.
