My heart goes out to you Liz. Some of your symptoms are menopausal but some definitely are not. Seeing spots and having your chest hurt are not typical and might be indicators of a more serious problem. I assume you have told your doctor about them? The heat and the anger--I would normally say that's menopausal but, as you say, you had surgery at 31, but I'm not sure exactly what was removed. Anyway, the best thing I can advise is a) make sure your doctor knows about the other symptoms and b) find a support group for woemn in menopause. Our local hospital has one, and maybe yours does too. I've been to meetings where we crack ourselves up laughing. I know nothing you're going through seems funny, and it isn't, but often the warmth and compassion of other women is just what the doctor ordered. If you don't have a local support group, start one. Just invite some friends going through the same thing over to your porch or out somewhere, and share your concerns and experiences. Do it once a month, and widen your circle to other women in the same boat. I'm 99% sure you'll get something useful out of it. You might even have a laugh or two, though it seems pretty far-fetched, I know. Good luck, --Toni
