hi i'm rosemary i recently had a FSH blood test the result was FSH 91 and LH 55.6 does this mean i definetly can't get pregnant as neither my partner nor i wish to have any children, also when we do sex foreplay i bleed slightly although i don't think it's vaginal bleeding, i'm having an ultra-sound scan in july, to make sure there is nothing sinister going on, it only happens when we do foreplay, and i don't suffer any pain, i hope you can answer this for me, thanks rosemary.

Yes, it means you are now infertile and would be very unlikely to get pregnant.  I'm glad you're having an ultrasound to check out the bleeding.  It is not uncommon in menopause because vaginal tissues get thinner and drier and become more vulnerable.  You can get small tears that will bleed.  If the bleeding is not vaginal, the US can help narrow down the causes.

Good luck, Rosemary,

Sandy

Watch this video about menopause and menstruation, a normal, natural shedding process of the uterine lining that occurs monthly in all healthy adult women after puberty.
