Q: Does Progesterone cause chin hair growth???

I've had a complete hysterectomy.  My doctor wants to put me on a progesterone cream because of anxiety.  Does it cause hair growth on the face?

No, Constance, progesterone should not cause chin hair growth.  This is a common by-product of entering menopause.  Most women seem to get more "peach fuzz" and many will get chin hairs, darker mustache or stiffer hairs at various places on their faces.  Too high levels of testosterone can cause hair growth, but not your progesterone.
