Hey John: Absolutely she can. As with a partial hyterectomy you mentioned she still has her ovaries. They will continue to produce hormones an when that slows down or stops she may experieince the same symptoms as those who have not had hysterectomies. The hot flashes are a normal symptom as for the swollen ankle and even the hot flashes she should see her physician and have things checked out.
