Hi, MK 2010,

In her guidebook "Symptoms and Solutions", Dr. Tara Allmen suggests that genetic factors may be the cause of this hair loss. To try to solve the issue, you may want to talk to a dermatologist or hair-growth expert.

Take care and keep us posted!

Hi MK,

Hair thinning and hair loss are common complaints of many of the women in my practice.  There's not a lot written about it, but we do know that some of the causes can be low progesterone, thyroid problems and adrenal dysfunction.  What I have found is that getting a woman's hormones into balance using primarily the bioidentical estradiol and progesterone has helped to slow or even stop the loss.  Not everyone gets new hair growth, but some do.  It's certainly worth investigating.

Good luck to you,
