Q: i am well into postmenopausel is it possible to have so many aches and pains ..

for the last 3years into the  menopause i have suffered with joint pains my gp keeps telling me i have musculoskeleton pains.i have not been on hrt and wonder if my bodys crying out for  hormones...  pamelax

Yes, Pamela, it is definitely that your lack of hormones is causing the aches and pains.  I have heard this issue from patients for years and found they often got better once their hormones were in balance.  Finally about 3 years ago, there was a research study proving the fact that menopausal women not on hormones report significantly more muscle and joint aches and pains than women who are on hormones.  Be sure to find a provider who will work with you on bioidentical hormones.  Best of luck to you,
