Yes, Pamela, it is definitely that your lack of hormones is causing the aches and pains.  I have heard this issue from patients for years and found they often got better once their hormones were in balance.  Finally about 3 years ago, there was a research study proving the fact that menopausal women not on hormones report significantly more muscle and joint aches and pains than women who are on hormones.  Be sure to find a provider who will work with you on bioidentical hormones.  Best of luck to you, Sandy
