Q: Starting menopause and bloating.

I am 51 and have had regular periods until now. This month I started vigorous exercise and I'm bloated like I'm going to start my period. It's been 35 days since my last period. If it is menopause will I stay this bloated always?

No, Arainaken, I don't think you're going to stay bloated.  I expect you will find that when your period finally comes, it will go away.  It's also possible that you are going to skip this period.  Many women will continue to "go through the motions", have all the symptoms and feelings, that a period is coming, but theyskip bleeding until the next period.  In that case, it may take a little longer for the bloating to go away.  I hope it's soon!

Good luck, Sandy
