Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 05:33 PMdon't really care for stadol... have had it in injection, but don't like the way it makes me feel, but after last night i would try just about anything.
i haven't been there long enough to qualify for fmla.... wish i did...... but one of the nurses talked to my manager when she came in for lunch..... don't think i will get too much mouth from them now. nurse was appaled that i was made to come to work today. and i don't really think my boss understood how bad it was, till the nurse took time to explain it to her.

after not being able to achieve anything but minimal relief for 2 days, i went to the doctor this morning. they could only give me torodol b/c i have to be at work in a couple hours ( boss threatened my job if i miss another day) but he did change my meds. they now have me on stadol nasal spray, that...

think i have found another trigger

I had Stadol for awhile and got to where I was over-using it. It knocked me completely out, which made me not feel the pain. I now realize that I was rebounding from a single dose of it. It put a real strain on our very strong marriage. I won't touch it again. Not that you'll have my experience, but be careful. It's a great med, though, if you can handle it.
I'm sorry you're having so much trouble at work. What a great doctor to support you in writing. I've heard that if you qualify, you can take Family Medical Leave Act leave (unpaid) in drips and dribbles. Many companies don't meet the details of having to honor the FMLA, but your employer might. Check with your personnel manager or a benefits manager at the home office.
I had to give up a successful law practice because of my head. My migraines were out of control, and I couldn't commit to a deadline because I couldn't predict when I'd be able to work. It's all about deadlines. So I understand what it's like to be having trouble at work. I hope yours gets better after your doctor's letter.
I hope the Toradol helped. That's what they give me at the walk-in clinic when I've had a 2 or 3 day monster that hasn't responded to anything I have at home. It works pretty well.
I don't remember whether you come to the forum, but it's a great place. Hang in there!
