i got hauled inot the office at work last night... and fussed at for missing to many days of work. i very nicely asked my manager if anyone had clued her in as to WHY i miss the time. No of course not. so i did.
i very nicely explained to her that i have miggraines, and that some of the meds i have to take to make the pain go away make me very sleepy and loopy.
she informed me if i miss another day that i am subject to disiplinary action, up to and including dismissl. at which point i asked had she or anyone else there heard of the americans with disabilities act. she looked at me like i was stupid.
i asked her if she thought i was lying about the time i had missed ( seeing as i have a doctors note for every day i don't think they want to go there.) she tells me that i have to go back to the doctor....... and get yet another note explaining my condition and any limitations.
how do you make people understand that as long as i avoid any strong smell, avoid most processed foods, and get enough sleep and take my medicine that i am usually ok. it's when inconsiderate people that bahte in perfume and they wax the floor right beside where i work that i really have problems.
so i am off to the doctor tommorrow to get him to write this note. his wife who is also his office manager was there when they talked to me and she tried to explain it. but like me she got no where.
so wish me luck, as after i get the note i have a meeting with home office to try and have some leeway put in place so i don't get fired for a condition taht i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!
