Well i went for my first visit with the neurologist today. I've learned not to get my hope up with doctors, but this once seems really concerned. He actually listened to me, and answered all my questions.

he did a basic neuro exam, commented on my balance, and the problems with my left eye. then he questioned me about my triggers, my pain meds, and told me it wasn't overuse, that if anything i could have more pain meds. he increased my amitriptyline from 50 mg a day to 75, and wants it all taken at bedtime.

he was also quick to assure me that if he couldn't get me the relief i needed, that his office works with the headache center in the central part of the state, and that he would send me on, and could consult with them as to what they suggest.

all in all it was a positive experience, and i'm ready to get the MRI over with. then i see him that afternoon and they will further adjust my meds then.

i guess my GF's that work in his office were right when they told me i would like him. and like the typical mother hens they are they were both right outside.
