my date with the ENT

well i went to the ENT yesterday. he said that yes my primary problem IS migraine, but that my sinus are aggervating the problem.

they drew blood for allergy testing and started me on a steroid nasal spray, and i gp tuesday for the Ct of my sinus cavity. after which they will most likely do surgery to clear the blockage and remove my tonsils and adenoids.

i also now have ( thanks to a wonderful prolonged sinus infection)...

back to the doctor

i go back to the doctor today for a follow up, and for what was intended to schedule a ct of my sinus cavity. that won't be happening as i am still just as congested as i was last month.

they are thinking now that i am having sinus headaches that are triggering migraines. i have had a constant headache since july 15th or so. along with the infection, and a few rounds of antibiotics. so it looks like i will be going to the ENT to see...

well iwent yesterday for my MRI and neurologist appt.

as expected the MRI was normal.......... but the neurologist who i thought might actually help me turned out to be a joke.

he had a med student with him, and she was 10 times worse than he ever dard to be. he told her i had no known triggers... WHAT??? dude i told you at the frist appointment of at least 25. and those were just the ones i knew off the top of my head. i've...

looks like i am finally going to HAVE to do it

i had though i would be able to work out my issues with my employer. but it looks like they are going to force me to file an eeoc complaint. i was written up today for missing time due to migraines ( even though it's supposed to be covered under FMLA) i tried to explai to my manager what was going on, but she lied and played dumb. and wrote me up anyhow. and then checked the boxes where i agreed to comply no matter what, and proceeds to tell me...

first visit to the neurologist

Well i went for my first visit with the neurologist today. I've learned not to get my hope up with doctors, but this once seems really concerned. He actually listened to me, and answered all my questions.

he did a basic neuro exam, commented on my balance, and the problems with my left eye. then he questioned me about my triggers, my pain meds, and told me it wasn't overuse, that if anything i could have more pain meds. he increased my...

mybe a different doctor can help

well my PCP has finally had enough and is sending me to a neurologist. he is fighting mad that the one abortive i could use that worked is no longer covered by my insurance,
and the prevenatives aren't helping. so as he said it's time to call in the experts.

i'm sitting here now with the pounding in my head.... wishing i could puke, and praying that sleep will come. or 1:30 when the doctors office reopens after lunch so i can get...

i'm still wondering why it is i can go for weeks at the time with out having any headache at all, eat whatever i want and it doens't bother me. but then all of a sudden no matter what i eat i keep a migraine.

i did really good for 3 or 4 weeks. ( haven't had an ER visit ofr a migraine in over 6 weeks now) but i am fairly sure that the lull is over.

it also doesn't help that te weather here has sucked all winter. 70 one day, 30 the next,...

small glimer of light at the end of the tunnel

well, i'm beginning to think there is a small glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. My best friend works for my neurologist office, and while i was wating for my appointment, she suggested to me to go see the dentist. my first thought was she's nuts, but i made the dentist appoinment anyhow. turns out i had a tooth that needed to come out. 2 weeks ago i had it pulled.

now i have been on 50 mg of topamax for almost a year now, and i also...

thanks to the holiday, my regular doctor isn't in his office until monday. so my hasband took me to the Er because my head just wouldn't let up. since another doctors office is covering for my doctor the ER sent me over there.
