My Dr. recently left my insurance network and I'm having a hard time trying finding a new one. I have being to two and they want to which the meds that I'm currently on, which actually works. One of the Dr.'s I tried telling him the meds he was talking about putting me on I have tried and they didn't work for me, he was telling me they work for he other migraine patient but I told everybody is different and they don't work for me. This was the preventive meds he wants to change which I'm currently on Topamax and he want to put me on Inderal why I don't know but I have tried it and done nothing.

The next Dr. wants to change pain meds from Relpax to Imitrex, which I told him. Imitrex really don't do anything however Relpax don't either and was asking what else we could try. He was suck on trying to push Imitrex on me who again I told I had tried all form of Imitrex and nothing. I told maybe b/c for years that all I used and now it want touch it.

I need help in find a Dr that will listen and work with me. My entire refill is about to run out and my migraines are effect by the weather as well as hormonal.

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

It is very important to have a doctor who is willing to work with you, not just want to work on his own agenda. It sounds like you may be right on target to look for another doctor. We happen to have a patient recommended specialist list you can see by clicking HERE.

Thank you for creating a SharePost. SharePosts are a form of blogging, and there are many things you can do with them. You can share an experience, suggest something that's helped you, use SharePosts as a Migraine and headache journal, and many other things.

We also have a discussion forum that you may want to check out. Especially if you have questions or are looking for information, you may find the interaction on the forum to be quite helpful. To get to the forum, just look for the orange box marked "Manage" and click on the Migraine Forums link. Because our forums are maintained by a third party, you'll need to register for the forum. You can use the same information you used to create your community log-in if you like. If you want to go directly to the forum, you can click HERE.

Along with your personal "My Home" page and the discussion forum, you'll find links to a great deal of helpful information and a spot to sign up for our free newsletter on the main page of our site, http://www.MyMigraineConnection.com.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post them to the forum or send me a message through my profile.
