when Stadol was available It was wounderful. However I would have to take a little more phenergan with it as it caused overbearring nausea. I still couldn't function on it, all I did was lay down and try to fall asleep. Once I woke up, I was fine. I am currently going to a neurologist at MSU. I have suffered migranes since I was 13 years old, I'm 45 and they come about 6 times a month. I am tired of trips to E.R. every month, MRI"S, spinal taps for menengitis etc...Hopes on the way.
I just started taking butorphanol nasal spray for my migraines in hope that it will help with mine. I also have a pain pump inside of me which at this time has prialt in it which is a form of snail serum, which is suppose to help better with pain than morphine does. I just hope that between the butorphanol and the prialt together that maybe some how my migraines and back will at least not be as bad as they have been since I have been since I was a teenager, I am now 55. I will be sure to keep you all informed over the next few months.

I suffer from crippling migraines,I told my doctor about this article and was prescribed the Stadol inhaler for my last migraine.
It made me very dizzy but soon the pain subsided,I felt tired and heavy.I layed wide awake all night feeling exhausted and unable to sleep but no pain and I have layed in the bed for days at a time writhing in pain so I would take this anyday.
While I welcome the pain relief it was not a good feeling at all,no danger of me abusing this stuff.
Few narcotics work for me and I have never desired the "high" feeling.I have declined morphine, oxycontin and percocet,I only want relief.
I see sites where people brag about fooling another doctor and scoring narcotics for fun and it makes me so angry, they are the reason so many true sufferers aren't taken seriously.I only hope they are not raising children.
I understand what additcion is and I realize they need help but they don't seem to want help they just want more drugs.I'm shocked by the sites where they instruct others what to say to doctors to "score" and how to combine different drugs and use them.
I tried drugs as a kid some 30 years ago but I didn't like feeling out of control and I grew up,you should try.
No doubt they are suriving and getting bogus medical treatment using everyone else's tax dollars for medicaid and food stamps while I'm trying to raise my kids to be responsible, productive adults.
I wish those sites were monitored so junkies that don't want help could be tracked.
They make it very difficult for real pain patients and I resent it.
