HRSA Health Centers Can Provide Basic Migraine Care

By Teri Robert, Health Guide Monday, November 08, 2010

If financial problems are keeping you from seeing a doctor for your Migraine or other health care needs, it's worth checking into a program sponsored by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HRSA-Supported Health Centers.

HRSA-supported Health Centers have provided comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services to medically underserved communities and vulnerable populations.

Health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that serve populations with limited access to health care. These include low income populations, the uninsured, those with limited English proficiency, migrant and seasonal farm workers, individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and those living in public housing.

Although these centers don't have Migraine specialists, they can be a way of getting at least basic care. Read more in HRSA Health Centers Can Provide Basic Migraine Care.
