Sansert was approved by the FDA in 1962, over 45 years ago, but has now been taken off the market. That leaves us with no medications deve...

    Nancy,

You're right -- this is past due, far past due. I, for one, am tired of Migraineurs going through the long and arduous trial and error process of finding an effective preventive regimen and think it may well be at least partly due to the fact that there isn't a single medication that was actually developed for us for that purpose. That's just insane!

WOW, Teri. I had no idea. Thank you so much for keeping us all informed. Thank you for representing all of us who suffer from migraines and those of us who love someone who suffers.

I'm looking forward to doing what I can to help in this fight. Keep us posted.

    Yvonne,

You're welcome, and thank you. This situation just isn't right, and something has to be done about it.

I'll be keeping y'all posted. Trust me. I'm going to be enlisting an army of Migraine and headache sufferers.

One of my Senators is Trent Lott -- a guy with lots of influence. He doesn't have good judgement about what he says at birthday parties, but he's a force in the Senate.

The other is Thad Cochran. Quiet, but senior to Lott.

My Congressman isn't running for re-election in '08, so he won't be much help since he's on the way out.

Let me know what I need to do. -- Gretchen

Sounds good, Gretchen. We know this isn't going to happen immediately. It may take another trip to DC; it may take multiple letter campaigns.

When the time comes, I promise you'll now about it! Innocent

    Teri,

Can't wait to hear how things have gone!  Can't think of a better person to go on our behalf.   I also can't wait to do my part as a patient-sufferer and perhaps advocate of other sufferers out there.  It's up to us.
