Migraine Gem of the Day - Episodic to Chronic Migraine

Teri Robert @trobert Health Guide
  • Every year, between 2.5 and 4.6% of people who have episodic Migraine progress to chronic Migraine.

Migraineurs may transition among three Migraine states in both the direction of increasing Migraine frequency and decreasing Migraine frequency:

    1. 0 - 9 Migraine and headache days per month,
    2. 10 - 14 Migraine and headache days per month, and
    3. 15 or more Migraine and headache days per month.

These transitions occur over a period of weeks to a period of months.
