Ellen Schnakenberg - A Migraine Patient's 30 Days of Gratitude

Teri Robert @trobert Health Guide
  • It hardly seems possible, but today is the last day of November and the last day of our month of sharing our gratitude with the Migraine and headache community.

    The list of people and things for which I'm grateful seems endless, making it difficult to choose. Today, I want to share my gratitude for Ellen Schnakenberg. I'm blessed indeed to have her in my life.

    Ellen and I followed each other online for several years before finally meeting in person and beginning to talk with each other on a regular basis. Once we met, we discovered that we have a great deal in common, including a passion for wanting to help others with problematic Migraines and headaches.

    Since we met, Ellen and I have started working together in several ways:

    • networking on social media sites;
    • attending Headache on the Hill (see photo on right);
    • serving as board members for the American Headache and Migraine Association, and
    • working together here to bring you more information and support, as well as keeping you aware of advocacy and awareness issues.

    Today, the 30th day of our 30 Days of Gratitude, I'm grateful for having Ellen in my life and for both our professional relationship and our friendship.

    Ellen and I both find that a gratitude journal helps us maintain our emotional equilibrium when it seems that everything in our lives is conspiring to bring us down. We also find that it helps to share with each other. That's one reason we want to share with you, our Migraine and headache family.

    Would you like to join us? It's easy to keep a gratitude journal, and you're always welcome to share any of it here in our community. Journals can be handwritten or kept on your computer. To share here, you can create a SharePost of your own, or you can post comments to our posts.
