At the HealthCentral Network, we've received some great news that I want to share with you. Here's a press release on that news...

The HealthCentral Network, Inc. (www.HealthCentral.com) has received top recognition from the eHealthcare Leadership Awards for its breast cancer site, MyBreastCancerNetwork.com, and its migraine site, MyMigraineConnection.com.

Honored for their health industry innovation on the Web, the sites received awards in the category of best consumer disease-focused site. MyBreastCancerNetwork.com won a Gold Award for Best Interactive Site, while MyMigraineConnection.com received a Distinction Award for Best Overall Internet Site. The sites were judged in comparison to other health sites on the Web and were given scores based on overall Internet excellence.

The HealthCentral Network's more than 30 health-specific Web sites offer expert medical information and interactive tools and resources, while fostering a community of patient-to-patient and patient-to-expert support and insight. MyBreastCancerNetwork.com and MyMigraineConnnection.com are two of the condition-specific sites.

"This is a great honor, and we're excited to be recognized by such a prestigious award," said Chris Schroeder, CEO and President of The HealthCentral Network. "These awards are a true tribute to the community members, expert patients and medical professionals who have created a vibrant, supportive and trustworthy online community for those affected by these conditions."

This is very exciting for us. I think an enormous part of why I find it so exciting is that this is a relatively new site, and already such an active and supportive community has developed here -- that's YOU!

Thanks to all of you for being here and making our site so vibrant and alive.
