Some people have said they don't vote because "one vote doesn't make any difference." A single vote may not make much difference, but if you added up all the people who don't vote for that reason, it could make a huge difference. With Migraines and chronic head...

isn't the ONLY way the candidates are being judged by everyone here. The graph seems to be stated in such terms as to make the candidates seem like perhaps they all haven't been as thoughtful as they could be and that this is the ONLY way to judge them. I'm certainly not.

I do think healthcare is important but it doesn't RULE my entire life. My family pays a LOT for healthcare because my DH is employed in a tiny company--6 people strong. It is dang expensive, I promise you. In his old company, it was very nice to have virtually everything paid for BUT I for one do NOT want to live under a system anywhere close to that of Canada's (please, no offense meant to anyone there nor to anyone in Great Britain) where one has to wait months for treatment or has to be on a waiting list even for a primary care doctor. I know it can be much worse than the way things are now and I don't want to live like that.

My DH did live for many years as a Navy brat and said that the somewhat socialized medicine in that system was no picnic. He agrees that whatever we pay now is worth the cost just for the choices we have. We do complain about the prices-- For example, the drug costs are steep nowadays!! (Try over 6 times as expensive as before when the BIG Company paid for things.) It is tough but we personally think the choice is worth paying more to have it.

That being said, WAY COOL to have all this laid out in such a neat-looking way, Teri! You did a nice job presenting it. I just hope that thought is given to the candidates on ALL the issues and that healthcare isn't the only issue being looked at here. Hugs....

Thanks, Teri, for reminding us how important our vote is, and for the useful tool.  I certainly hope we get signifcant healthcare reform out of this election; the system (or lack of system) we currently have is hurting too many people!
