IMPORTANT NOTE: We have extended the deadline for submissions to Tuesday, April 22. Entries must be sumitted before midnight tomorrow.

All too often Migraines and headaches seem to sap our energy, make us feel isolated, and make our lives more difficult. Well! It's time to have a bit of fun while we continue our quest for better treatments, information and support!

Expressing ourselves in writing can serve many purposes. It can...

  • give us an outlet for our frustrations.
  • let us exercise our creativity.
  • provide us with an opportunity to illustrate Migraine disease and headaches to those who don't experience them.
  • be a chance to have a bit of fun with something so serious.

Each year, we conduct the Putting Our Heads Together Poetry Contest to bring together people with AND without Migraine disease and headaches to share our thoughts and expressions. This contest is held in April, National Poetry Month.

You do not have to have Migraine disease or headaches to enter our contest, but all poetry must be on the theme of Migraine and / or headaches.

Entering is a bit different this year. Rather than submitting your poetry via email, you can enter it here on our site, and it will be instantly available for others to read. You can get more details from our Putting Our Heads Together Poetry Contest 2008 section.

Do you need more inspriration? Take a look at our 2007 winners.

The deadline for submitting your poetry is Monday, April 21, and we will announce the winners on April 29. Entries will be judged by our friends at MAGNUM, the National Migraine Association.
