  • For some of us, 2008 was a good year, marked by finding the right doctor to work with us on Migraine and headache management and making progress. For others, 2008 wasn't so good.

Now that the winter holidays are behind us, and we're entering 2009, it's time to take a look at how all of us can live well in 2009, despite Migraines and headaches.

Finding the right doctor, managing triggers, eating well, sleeping well... the list of actions we can take to improve our lives goes on. We do not have to let Migraines or headaches control our lives.

So, what do you say? Are you ready to say, "Enough! I am going to take control?" At one time, I was averaging five severe Migraines a week -- severe enough to keep me in bed all day. My quality of life was very low. Finally, that made me angry. Angry enough to find a good Migraine specialist and drive eight hours to see him. Now, I have six to nine Migraines A YEAR. It was no miracle. The decrease in my Migraines was achieved through work, persistence, and working with the right doctor to find an effective treatment regimen.
