Sharing a Migraine Poem

Since I can't enter our Putting our Heads Together poetry contest, I thought I'd share a poem with you here. This is my most recent poem about living with Migraine disease... phantom tango the beat is faint, the dance slow      so slow I’m not sure we’re dancing ...

Teri, that poem is awesome. May I print it and display in a prominent place in my apartment? It never ceases to amaze me that there are people who feel the same pain i feel. Currently going through majorly rough time regarding migraines and have slipped into a pretty deep state of depression. Hopefully the sadness will lift when the migraine does. God bless you, keep you and heal you much love, mrscolt

Loved your poem too.  It continues to amaze me at the power of words.  I am strengthened by the fact that others feel the same pain, the same depth of saddness, and the same loss of hope when they suffer with a migraine.  Thanks for sharing your emotions with the rest of us.

Your poem expressing my feelings to a "T" during a Migraine attack.  It is an eloquent description, one I truly admire.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

Teri.

I can feel the beat of your tango.

I don't know if pain makes you a romantic or not but you surely are. I know it makes you/us think strange things, unable to focus on normal daily life. Maybe that's the payoff for having to suffer so much and so long. The invisible dancer who leads us such a miserable chase. That's the closest to a poem I can get, Teri, my friend in the pain of life. That's my hand in yours.

Excellent poem, Teri. I could feel it along with you. Sadly so.
