It's about time that migraine sufferers are made aware that migraines can increase the risk of stroke.  I'm a 61 year old woman who has had migraines for over 30 years and on numerous occasions I've been told by the emergency room physicians that my blood pressure was at stroke level due to migraine pain.  Once when I was inpatient I had a killer migraine that would not let up even after I was given morphine.  When it seemed evident that I was about to have a stroke a pain management doctor was called in and he gave me an injection at the pain site which gave me relief.  The bottom line is if you are a migraine sufferer keep tabs on your blood pressure.  It can save your life.
