Migraines, Cindy McCain and the International Headache Congress

By Teri Robert, Health Guide Monday, September 07, 2009

Nancy and I will be going to Philadelphia this week to attend the International Headache Congress (IHC). The IHC hasn't been held in the United States since 2001, so this is our first opportunity to attend. It promises to be quite exciting.

One thing that should be especially exciting is the keynote address by Cindy McCain, who fights her own battle with Migraine disease. Mrs. McCain is not only highly visible, she's strong, intelligent, and well spoken. It's also very obvious from her comments that she fully understands and cares about the suffering of all Migraineurs. I love this comment she made in an interview with People,

"I'm one of the millions who suffer. It's time for us to shake things up a bit."

Nancy and I will be reporting back to you from Philadelphia and bringing back lots of material for new articles and updates.

In the meantime, read more about Mrs. McCain and her views on Migraine disease, research, treatment and more in Cindy McCain Speaks Out About Migraine Disease at IHC 2009.

Have a great week,
