Mind Wars

Hammers, Chainsaws everywhere!

The pain of sound, I cannot bear!

Lights, they shine, they make me blind!

Is it me?  Am I losing my mind?!?

Alas, a Migraine's here again.

Oh, will these feelings ever end?!?

A day or two, or maybe more?

My mind feels like it's in a war!

A clock, it pounds, though far away!

Will I survive this frightening day?

Please make it stop, that menacing rot,

The pain, the tears...I've lost the plot!

The heat-bag, hot shower, bed- my friends!

At last I think the storm finally ends!

Relief...the pain and madness go!

Until the next one comes along, (I know)!

What have I learnt from all of this,

In the years I've suffered in this great abyss?

Migraine's an awful, debilitating disease,

Never underestimate it's power, please!
