Chronic tension headaches, Migraines
Topamax, Fioricet, Reglan, Benadryl (w/fioricet)
I am 25 years old and I have been having headaches almost everyday and migraines (1-4x per month) since I was 18. I also have seizure activity but I am not "epileptic". I have "static", have had absent seizures twice that I am aware of. Anyway back to the headaches...to make it easy--my head is like a barometer. I sense the change in air pressure, & upcoming weather patterns before they happen. Ive also learned that I'm allergic to most types of fruit. I am also sensitive &/or allergic to narcotic pain relievers, hence it is difficult to control my pain, especially in an acute setting. This is the second time Ive been on topamax. The first time I went up to 300mg. Everything was great--I didnt have any headaches. But then again, I didnt have a memory, or a thought process. Oh, I had also managed to form a speech impedement consisting of stuttering and inability to grasp hold of a word, and other neuromuscular disorders. I was immediately taken off the medication, but after taking a break of all medications I found myself back with it a year later. I sometimes look miserable, confused, or that I am giving someone a "dirty looks". Meanwhile, I am just trying to bear the pain, or distract myself from it. Even on days that I am feeling sick as a dog, I am healthier than a lot of other people out there. It may not always make sense to me why I am sick and why there is no cure for my headaches, but I thank God everyday that I am above ground.
