I have been almost unbelievably fortunate in my migraine experience. To have a primary doctor who doesn't blame every symptom on stress, who knew I had migraines even though mine are bilateral, and who warned me about medication overuse headaches when I took ibuprofen for another reason.&nbs...

    Nutcracker,

You really are blessed!  You've had a good treatment team and good responses to you meds, that is true!

But you've only come this far by being such a well-informed, confident patient!  You've done a great job!!Grin

It's nice to hear a positive story! I know the road hasn't been easy for you......this nice streak you are in has probably been good for clarity - I get that way. I forgot that you get migraines bilaterally - I get a few that way too - every once in a while - and when I do those are the ones to look out for!

Thank you for sharing Nut! Your story is encouraging that there is still a "right" doctor out there for me! (I'm still looking!) I'm hoping the new guy I see next week is the one!

    Thanks again!

My story is very similar to yours, only I am on my 10th preventive and still nothing. Otherwise, I feel the same way.

I am glad to hear a positive story.
