Migraines, Tension Headaches, Chronic Headaches, TMJ Disorder and Headache, Interstitial Cystitis and Migraine Connection

I have had migraines since I was probably 15, but they were monthly and considered menstrual migraines. Then, in 2006 I had a crown done because of a cracked tooth and it was discovered that I was grinding my teeth. The daily headaches began in February 2007 and have continued for a year. Some days are better than others. Sometimes I have three migraines a week. Sometimes it's hormonal or weather-related, but usually it's muscle and joint-related for me. An MRI showed that I have two degenerative discs in my neck and a herniated disc in my upper back, but doesn't give the full picture because I also have TMJ disorder. I see a TMJ specialist, a physical therapist, a neurologist and a pain management specialist. I continue to try various preventatives, but so far relief has been short-lived only after physical therapy and sometimes massage. Hopefully 2008 will bring answers and relief.
