    Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

We are happy you found us too, but sorry you need to be here! Familial Hemplegic Migraine is a rare form of Migraine disease that can be hard to diagnose due to it's similar characteristics like stroke, epilepsy and other neurologic conditions. We have information on this condition HERE.

It is vital to have an expert treating you with rare conditions. In this case, that expert would be a Migraine specialist. It may mean traveling a bit to find the right doctor, but to feel better it may be necessary. We have a list of patient recommended specialists you can see HERE.  Another article of interest regarding Migraine specialists is: Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special?

I just read your posting. I am new to the group also. I have suffered from severe migraine since a head injury 4 yrs ago. It was unbearable the first few months. I can work now but nothing will ever be the same. I hope they find a daily regime for you. I continue to search for pain relief. I will keep you in my thoughts.
