Iam writing for my husband, who is legally blind and has difficulties typing on a computer. He also has galcoma in both eyes and pain with that as well. He's 52 a really true sweetheart and I see him in pain everyday either waking up with a migraine or not so severe at times but again with a migraine at bedtime too.
We have been to the doctors,Specialists, whom referred him to one that cost out of pocket 400 dollars and that was just for the first visit. We werent able to go.He's on acess a state run program for those who are on disability.
Michael has been taking recently Hydrocodone 750 mg.It works but not as well as it has been when he first taking it 2 months ago.He was also on Midrin and Tramadol 50 mg but those didnt seem to work very well either.
He has tried imatrix and a few other meds as well.
I feel for his pain he is in on a constant daily living. At times he will get sick or his head will hurt so very bad he cant function,or move his head .I just dont know what I can do for him but listen, get him a wet wash cloth for the forehead and keep the shades down.Any advise or support will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ally

Ally,
I just wanted to say hi and to let you know that I will be praying for you and Michael.
This website is full of valuable information. Please join the forum where you can post specific questions and get answers.
There are over 100 medications for migraine prevention. There are programs for prescription assistance. There are headache specialists that hopefully can help your husband.
Stay positive and keep searching. You will find the answers. It has taken me three years to find the correct diagnosis and a wonderful doctor for my 10 yr old son. He is not cured but we are on the right path to making his migraines managable.
Good luck.
Yvonne-Migraine Mom
