Hey there! It's been a while!

I count on compounding pharmacies for part of my meds too, and I was quite upset, ready to sign on to the site you linked to -- until I taked to my doctor who prescribes my compounded meds and read the FDA notice on the BHRT issue.

After I read the FDA notice HERE and talked with a couple of people who had used some of these products, I think the FDA action may well be appropriate. Some of these supposed bioidentical products contain estriol, which has never been shown to be safe for human use. There are also a lot of web sites making claims that just can't be substantiated.

Anyway, after researching, I really don't think there's any danger to legitimate compounding pharmacies.

    Hi Teri

This may be the case, (additives that is), therefore I go over with my Dr. the compounds used and any others.  Making sure there is nothing added that could be harmful.  My compounding  pharmacist is also happy to share this information, giving me a breakdown of each medication, in writing and verbally.

Where I live now is verrrrrry rural, and it's over 30 miles each way of country roads.  Because the larger volume, chain drugstores feel this isn't in their best interest to provide this service.

Furthermore, I really have a hard time trusting alot of the decisions the FDA has made.  Especially, those in favor of the the drug companies verses the patient.  It would be just like them to couch more than one of these addendums, bury it in a maze of words and rhetoric and low and behold we no longer have this legitimate service.  Which by the way, is the only way I can get any type of  treatment in this rural burg.

Thank you for allowing me to voice my concerns and opinions regarding this important service.

    Onward with the Knowledge!
