Migraine Question of the Week, 12/1/10

By Nancy Harris Bonk, Health Guide Wednesday, December 01, 2010

Our readers ask some great questions about Migraine disease and other headache disorders here on MyMigraineConnection. Teri and I both answer questions in our community question and answer section. Dr. Krusz and Teri answer other questions in our Ask the Clinician column.

Some of the questions apply to many of our readers, and are great topics for discussion. So, every week, I'll be bringing you our Question of the Week. I hope you'll take a few minutes to look at these questions and the answers, then join us in discussion. One of the best things about online communities is the opportunity to share information and experiences.

This week's Question of the Week:

Can postpartum hormones cause or intensify migraines?

I just gave birth to my 2nd child, a girl this time, back on September 2nd,and from the beginning of this pregnancy, I started getting horrible migraines, and this lasted throughout my entire pregnancy, and I am still suffering from them, constantly! I use to have them back in Junior High and High School, and had not really had much problems with them again until after I turned 20,and then with this 2nd pregnancy, but they still have not stopped, even after having my daughter.
