One of our many jobs as parents is caring for our children when they become ill, whether it's with a Migraine or simple sore throat. When cold and flu season is upon us, we are at the ready with tissues, blankets and extra TLC. We can even pull them through the dreaded chicken pox! But from time to t...

I grand daughter was recently diagnosed with CVS. She is 26 years old and has 3 children 5-11. She has been having these eposodes for almost a year. I am trying to find a Doctor in Pinellas County, Florida that knowes somethink about this. She has been to the emergency room more times then you can count. With no insurance. They treat you like you dont know what you are talking about when you go to the ER. Makes it very hard to go there. But her vomiting is so severe she gets week and pale and barely able to even walk.
They finally put her under for a while then when she wakes up she is ok for a while. Some times it starts again in a day or two and needs to go back to stop it and get fluids etc. again. Her episodes have been lasting about 10 days then they reacure not at any special amount of time. 6 weeks 2 months never at a regular interval. Any Advice would be helpful. I have now downloaded imformation to take to the ER when we have to go.
I'm sorry I thought I sent you some information on CVS, but it isn't here! There is an organization, Cyclic Vomiting Association that looks like it might have some good information for people like your daugther. Here is the website: http://www.cvsaonline.org/
Let me know what you think of that site and if it is helpful.
