Thank you, Nancy!  I take Celexa as a Migraine preventive.  I pulled out my med. sheet (which I keep in my pocket book) to check the dosage. I take 2 - 20 mg. pills per day. So I am right at the 40 mg.  I guess that means I'm ok.  Thanks so much for keeping us abreast of this important information!!

I started Anti-depressants for migraines years ago. Now, I do have to take it for depression. I am on 80 mgs of Celexa. I started off with 10, 20, and so on. I just had my heart speeding up for no reason yesterday. I've noticed it before also. I will definitely talk to my doctor about this.

Thanks for the update.

I'm glad this information was helpful, Denise. Talk to your doctor and maybe show him the MedWatch alert from the FDA.

Let me know what he says.

Nancy,

Thank you so much for this information. I only just started taking Celexa a couple of months ago for menopausal mood swings and migraine prevention, so the title of this SharePost made me jump. So far Celexa is proving very effective for me and I'm only taking 10mg, but I very much appreciate the warning, especially if I have to increase the dose in future.
