Are You Going to Get Through the Holidays Without a Migraine?

Thanksgiving is over and I actually made it through without a Migraine. Now I am wondering if I can do it for the next round of holiday bliss!

Thanksgiving dinner was easy this year. My sister-in-law had dinner at her house and all I had to do was prepare my famous praline sweet potatoes - and they were wonderful Grin . As a matter, of fact the entire dinner was great. I even had a glass of red wine, which is unusual for me, not to mention a possible Migraine trigger.

Were my preventive medications in perfect harmony on Thanksgiving? Was it good luck I didn't get a Migraine attack? Did my body know I stuck an Axert in my pocket? With all the different personalities at the table, it was the perfect environment for a Migraine.

So, how do I get through the all shopping, wrapping, baking, cleaning, and good cheer December has to offer? I guess hoping that my preventives stay on track, and my luck holds out, are not options. What I need to do is get enough sleep, stay well-hydrated and pray I don't get my period! Because if I do, all bets are off.

What about you? What are you going to do to get through this holiday season? Stay away from people who cause you undo stress? Make good choices about your food triggers if you have them? How about this one - try not to make everyone happy; save a little extra time for yourself. It might be the best holiday ever. Migraine and Headaches - 10 Tips for Enjoying the Holidays.

Let me know what you have planned, ok?
