Be well sweetie!

Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 07:38 AMchopping onions can depending on how strong the onion is, reduce me into a crying baby. great little find that is in my produce section.... pre chopped onions.
and if you don't have those.... place the onions in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before you chop............. the juices don't flow as freely, and i can get through chopping it.
nad onions are the one trigger food i have that i love more than any other food. ( if it didn't make me hurt so bad i would happily eat an onion sandwhich)

i got a small black and decker food small chopper awhile back did wonderful.still have to do rough chop . small onions only require a quick in half. on sale it was about $10.00
some people put the onion in the frezzer fro a bit first or run cold water over the onion.
do a bunch at once - freeze your own.
green onions red onions -add more as they are mild -add nice flavor with far less tears. too.

It's no fun to find a new trigger. Especially when it's something that you like, or can deal with in another form- but has to be changed from one form to the acceptable one. Any chance you can get someone to chop onions for you? If you're able to eat them once cooked, that's a different story than if they were just totally out... (just a thought)
