Hi Nancy:

Wow, so much info in such a short time, and some very helpful research findings.  Thanks for taking the time (both you and Teri) to share what you are learning along the way.  I look forward to the articles when you are home and have time to "breathe."

If you hear any news about preventative or acute treatments for hypnic headaches, please share.  Indomethicin works well most of the time for prevention, but not always.

Enjoy, and I hope you are feeling well.

Hey there!

There are really some very exciting things coming down the pike in Migraine disease and headache treatments. We may be a few years out, but soon!

Hypnic Headache was actually discussed, but not too much more than we've already written about.

We'll update you as soon as we can!!

As always, Thanks for reading.

I have had migraines for 40 yrs and strokes.  The most recent has effected my ability to speak etc.   I have been to the Mayo Clinic and am going back for more treatment so that hopefully I won't keep having strokes (I am only 47 now).

Please forward any info that I can use to bring along and to ask questions about strokes etc.

During this time it has been rare for me to have an aura but they said that did not matter. If I EVER had one I was considered to be a suffferer WITH aura. This is only one of the things that surprised me.

Hi,

We will absolutely pass along the information we've learned. Have you seen this information already on our site: Video: Migraine and Stroke Risk

Nancy,

Thank you for taking time out of I am sure a very exciting but probably alot to take in day to update the site as to how everything is taking place for you.

By chance will you be able to take in any of the sites? Being there on the 11th probably even had more of a significant meaning to you.

It is amazing what all Teri and you have done and continue to do for the imigraine and your involvelment in the pain community.

Take some time for yourself to gather your thoughts. I am sure there will be lots of questions from your family about all you said and saw. I am sure this is an experience that will remain with you for a long long time.

Again thank you.

We did get to go to a Gala at the Constitution Center and take a tour bus past the Liberty Bell! That was about it.

This was almost too much to be believe....we will keep you updated.

Thank you Nancy for such an excellent status report on The 14th International Headache Congress in Philadelphia.  MAGNUM will pass on that you and Teri will be debriefing us all on the diverse findings of this major Migraine disease & headache disorder medical Congress.  I personally found your report on France's Dr. Kurth talk about the possibility that any cardiovascular disease may put the Migraine patient who has Migraine with aura at an increased risk of stroke in addition to people with a healthy cardiovascular system and Migraine with aura are at an increased risk for stroke too.  Readers can believe you when you say a Migraineurs with a healthy cardiovascular system are at risk as I 'studied' that data first hand!

You two keep up the good work Migraineurs around the nation are waiting for the next installment.  See you at www.MigraineBlog.com when you are not at MMC.

Executive Director

MAGNUM, The National Migraine Association

Thank you Michael. It was very informative, and Migraineurs all around the world may be able to look forward to exciting new options soon.
