Two weeks ago I had tried IV therapy to break my current headache cycle. As I SharePosted earlier the infusion alleviated my head pain, but did not make it go away.
So we are going to try again tomorrow morning with another round of IV infusion, using different drugs. I think I'll suggest Mag Sulfate, maybe a little compazine (inside joke for those of you who get it ) but no steroids. They absolutely make my head pain worse.
I will also discuss a possible lumbar puncture because I have a sneaking suspicion that my intracranial hypertension, Pseudotumor Cerebri, is elevated. Coughing, bending over, laughing and waking up with head pain all seem to be my MO when it is high and that is exactly what is happening now.
My doctor said I could go in anytime after 9:00 am so I will be there bright and early - without a smile on.... so here we go....Play it again, Sam.
